Before making the switch to a modernized water park POS system, Coney Island relied solely on internet connectivity for their entire point of sale system. Nick Rhein, the Banquet Manager at Coney Island, mentioned that the lack of internet security often led to partial or full outages; causing major dips in sales and comped meals for unhappy guests in line.

In addition to the lack of consistent connection, their system also missed an important component when it came to monitoring real-time data and automated processes. “We needed to upgrade our ‘dumb’ cash registers. We couldn’t see sales data in real-time and we were manually tallying sales tracks and revenue,” says Rhein, “It was inefficient and time-consuming.”
